Wrap-Around Extensions

The Wrap-Around Style Tail Extension is used to add length and fullness to a thin,
short or damaged tail. This style extension is attached at any location along the
tail bone with braids, allowing for flexibility in the finished length and fullness of the
tail.

The Wrap-Around Style Tail Extension is crafted using the same technique as in
the original NewTail, and is constructed from 100% non-dyed horse tail hair.
Each individual hair is attached to the backing matrix utilizing the wig-making
technique of tying in each individual hair (no glue!). The backing matrix is made
from a flexible material which is color-coordinated to the tail hair color.

This Wrap-Around Style Tail Extension is attached to the tail via braiding. This is
an accepted method of attachment for breed associations requiring "hair-on-hair"
methods of attachment for tail extensions (AQHA, APHA, PHBA, NSBA).

Our extensions are created specifically for each customer. Please allow 2
weeks for delivery.

INSTRUCTIONS
Attachment of Wrap-Around Style Tail Extension

1. Comb tail hair
thoroughly. Create a
horizontal part in tail
at location of
attachment.

2. Clip upper tail hair out of
the way using a hair clip.

3. Hair is attached to the backing material in
lines (wefts). Segregate the two top rows of
wefts, folding them over to the side away
from the rest of the extension hair.

4. Secure these top two rows of hair with a
string to keep the hair separated from the
remainder of the extension hair.

5. Lay shoe string over the lower extension
hair, keeping the upper portion out of the way.

6. After clipping tail hair out of the way, place
the extension at the location on the tail bone
where it is to be attached, holding the upper
extension hair out of the way.

7. Wrap shoe string
back and forth around
tail to temporarily hold
extension in place. Tie
in a bow.

8. Separate strands from
tail (above) and strands
from extension (below) to
create braid.

9. Attach extension by
incorporating 4-5 braids
along top of extension
and one braid on each
side.

10. Untie and remove shoe
string. Release upper tail
hair and blend in.

To determine length required, measure from point on tail bone where
extension will be attached down as far as you'd like the extension to
reach, typically down to the fetlocks. This is the length, in inches
required.
